Didactics

The teaching in the Institute is conducted in form of stationary studies (during the day), non-stationary (weekends) and a postgraduate Computer Science studies, in three specialties: information systems, information systems management and command support systems (for military students).

 

Specialty Information Systems educates future analysts, programmers, designers, testing specialists, and IT consultants in the areas of:
1)       structural methodologies and object-oriented systems development,
2)       design and implementation of concurrent software,
3)       designing relational and object-oriented databases,
4)       design and implementation of process automating systems,
5)       computer networks and operating systems software,
6)       methods of computer simulation,
7)       expert systems and neural networks,
8)       models, methods and decision support tools and their practical applications,
9)       methods of parallel and distributed computing,
10)    methods of assessing the reliability of computer systems,
11)    methods of ensuring information systems security.

Specialty Management Information Systems educates future information management systems designers, consultants for IT management processes as well as implementation and improvement of systems management organization, specialists for quality assurance and information security in the area of:
1)       information processes in an enterprise,
2)       designing computer aided methods, monitoring and visualization of business processes,
3)       business processes re-engineering,
4)       designing relational and object-oriented databases,
5)       ensuring efficiency of business processes,
6)       structural methodologies and object-oriented systems development,
7)       models and methods of planning and scheduling processes,
8)       methods of computer simulation, expert systems, selected models and methods of operational research and their practical applications.

Specialty Command support systems educates (for MND – Ministry of National Defense) future analysts, programmers, designers, IT specialists for informatization command processes in
the area of:
1)       structural methodologies and object-oriented systems development,
2)       operating of automated systems command and control systems,
3)       methods of computer simulation, expert systems and neural networks,
4)       selected models, methods and decision support tools and their practical applications,
5)       methods of parallel and distributed computing,
6)       designing relational and object-oriented databases, designing and using battlefield simulators and command support systems,
7)       methods for ensuring the security of information systems.
